About SVHC.eu
SVHC.eu helps consumers exercise their rights under REACH Article 33(2). It generates and sends standardised requests to suppliers, tracks responses against the 45-day legal timeframe, and extracts and structures the disclosure information. It does not test products or certify compliance.
Why you’ve received an Article 33(2) request
This request is made under REACH Article 33(2), which gives consumers the right to request information about the presence of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) in products placed on the EU market. If you have received a request it is because your organisation is believed to be part of the product supply chain (e.g., manufacturer, importer, supplier or retailer).
Legal requirements for responding to Article 33(2) requests
When you receive a consumer request under REACH Article 33(2), you must respond free of charge within 45 days. If a Candidate List SVHC is present above 0.1% w/w, your reply must name the substance(s) and provide enough information for safe use of the product. For complex products with multiple parts, assess the 0.1% w/w threshold for each component article, not just the assembled product, and include any SVHC above the threshold and relevant safe use information in your reply. If no Candidate List SVHC is present above 0.1% w/w in the product or any component article, you can state this in your reply.
